WomaAdelaide
is a four-day event that draws in around 20,000 people each day to the stunning Adelaide Botanical Park. It's incredibly family-friendly, with children under 12 getting free admission. Thanks to WomAdAdelaide's central location, you can pick up your rental car at Adelaide Airport and then head straight to your accommodation without worrying about being far from the action. Parking at the festival is limited, so it's best to leave your rental car and take public transport or walk. There are many hotels within walking distance of the Botanical Park, such as the Comfort Hotel and the Majestic Minima on Melbourne Street or the Oval Hotel, just opposite the Adelaide Oval sports field. Festival Friend benefits vary from year to year and are subject to change depending on each year's Adelaide Festival program. The closest car park is behind the Adelaide Convention Centre, on Festival Drive, next to the Riverbank Footbridge.
Friends can access the best seats in the house during the priority booking period for events presented by the Adelaide Festival (except opening nights). Cash payments are not accepted at the festival, so make sure you bring a credit or debit card before arriving at the Adelaide fairgrounds. If you're planning on attending one of Adelaide's music festivals to soak up some culture, don't forget to rent a car from GoSee. Thanks to the breadth of the Adelaide Fringe, you can explore even more of South Australia, including places like Whyalla, about 4 and a half hours from Adelaide. Make sure you have a few days off on both sides of the festival so you can enjoy more of Adelaide or explore more of South Australia.
